The facilities of the Department greatly improved with the aiding of the World Bank through its Technician Education project Tech-Ed III. Prior to this time, the Department had enough standard equipment, tools and such other requirements which were provided for by the Electrical Engineering Department, given the fact that it was still at a very young stage. However, with the success of Tech-Ed III, the Department grew by leaps and bounds. Up-to-date facilities within its laboratory equipped with the latest experimental set-ups, experimental trainer devices, testing and measuring and calibrating devices along with an assorted array of electronic components are readily available. The hands-on experiences which the students have gained is immeasurable and beyond words. Gaining practical knowledge is what these laboratory sessions guarantee.
The Computer Centre is equally equipped with the latest desktop PCs and software to appropriately handle all Electronics Engineering and Telecommunication topics. As mentioned earlier, Interactive Learning materials cover a range of subjects, Circuit design software with simulation capabilities prepare the students for their actual project works and patented documentaries on a variety of electronics’ issues, topics and subjects are in the top bracket in quality coming from such reputed sources as the US Airforce/Navy and the Royal Canadian Airforce, to mention a few. Needless to say, the scope of learning is beyond words. Yes, there is a whole lot of interesting stuff to learn.
