To meet the human resource requirements of industry, business and the service sector, while at the same time to generate funds for the overall development of the Institute and thereby contribute to the economy of our state, it becomes vital to initiate various short term courses. As such, a Continuing Education Cell was set up under the initial support of the World Bank Project.
At present Department of Computer Sc. & Engg., Department of Electronics Engg., Department of Electrical Engg., Department of Mechanical Engg. and Department of Civil Engg has initiated various short term courses.
Shillong Polytechnic, Shillong has extended support service to the Community by conducting three (3) months course on Desk Top Publishing for those candidates who had appeared or passed SSLC Examinations. The course was held in the months of April – July of every year from 7.00 A.M to 9.00 A.M on all working days except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
All the relevant information regarding this short term courses will be advertised in the local papers as well as displayed in the institute notice board.
